New High School

Dear Revere Public Schools community,

Tonight we passed a huge milestone in the building of the new Revere High School as the City Council voted to fund the taking of the property that formerly housed the Wonderland Dog Track for the purpose of building this new school.

We are still about 5 years away from the school opening but this is great progress! We are thankful to the City Councilors who have supported this one-in-a-lifetime endeavor that will serve Revere’s children for generations to come.

Thank you also to the School Committee members and the School Building Committee members for you leadership and planning over the last two years. There is a great deal of work remaining but we can now move forward with greater focus.

Finally, thank you to Mayor Arrigo and his staff in the Revere Solicitors and Revere Budget offices and our partners at Left Field OPMs, Perkins Eastman Designers, and Consigli Construction for compiling all of the information needed to complete this land acquisition.

Onward!

Dianne K. Kelly, Ed.D.
